| Drifting in the Red River Valley is one of the scenic spot of Red River Valley Forest Park. The area was sparsely populated, with no man-made pollution. Plants are well-protected, so functions well in water conservation and purification; it possesses a large catchment area, where water is abundant and clear. The rivers in the drifting area are broad, with deep water and medium height of water. Lush forests grow on both sides of the drifting area, and unique stones spread along. The drifting area can be divided into the rapid streams and the slow streams. The latter one is tranquil and gentle, while the former one is threatening but not dangerous. With the lush trees and unique stones on both sides, the scenery of the drifting area is pleasant.
Red River Valley is a pearl inset in Qinling Mountains and the back garden of Shaanxi. All the caves and cliffs gather, wonder on the ancient Taigong Boat. Through the jungles and rivers, one can find an isolation at Panlong Bay.
Red River Valley Forest Park is an ancient road for climbing Taibai Mountain. The Park has developed four scenic districts and more than 80 scenic spots. Upon entering the Park, visitors could see Xiandong Temple, Lotus Cave, Guanyin Cliff and other religious culture heritage. The Park possesses the typical morphologic feature of north slope of Qinling Mountains. The scenery is serene, unique, steep and pretty. The mountains are steep, caves deep, valleys beautiful, and waterfalls spectacular. Visitors will never forget he ancient Taigong stone-boat, the mysterious caves and waterfalls, the religious temples and the legendary stories. Panlong Bay is a mysterious place where paths meet, getting through all the jungles and rivers of it is a fantastic experience. The grandeur Doumu Waterfall pours down from the Doumu Mountain. The vertical drop is more than eighty meters, so it can be called “the first waterfall of Shaanxi”.
Entering the Red River Valley, one gets to know the essence of mountains and water; merged in it, one feels the charm of forest and nature! As the poem goes, “How can it be so clear and cool, for water fresh comes from its source”.
