Taibai Mountain is located at Baoji and the Northern foot of Qinling Mountain, stretching over Mei County, Taibai County and Zhouzhi county. Taibai Mountain is the main peak of Qinling Mountain, which is the the natural barrier of northern and southern China as well as the watershed of the Yangtze River system & the Yellow River system. Qinling Mountain is like a giant wall, which blocks the airflow from the South and the North, resulting in the significant climate diversity of China. Due to its vertical drops, Taibai Mountain is endowed with its own climate and vegetation characteristics. Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is located in Mei County, named after the Taibai Mountain. The Ministry of Forestry approved the establishment of the National Park in the year of 1991 and it was officially opened in July 1992. The Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is rated as “National Civilized Forest Park” and one of the first batches of “National 4A Level Scenic Spots”. Now it has been developed into a tourist resort for sightseeing & holiday making, scientific explorations ans well as convalescence in the western region. The park covers an area of 2,949 hectares, consisting 8 major scenic regions and more than 180 scenic spots. The altitude ranges from 620 meters to 3,767 meters, making it the highest national forest park. Taibai Mountain National Forest Park takes the forest landscape as its main body, steep hills as its frame, clear lakes as its venation and cultural landscape as its content. The national park is a place where you can experience the miracle of “Taibai snow in the hot summer”, the towering “Doumu Peak”, the tranquil “Ping’an Cloud Sea”; the legend of “camel-shaped oak tree” and “shepherd temple” as well as the grandeur of the “Bodhisattva Hall”. You can enjoy the exquisite hills and streams, ravines and gullies, peaks and rocks, what’s more, the forest and trees, grasses and flowers as well as trees and branches are so wonderful and magical. Setting foot on the green grassland, you are surrounded by the sea of trees. There, sunlight filters through the leafy canopy and the golden light sprinkles along the windy path; the howling mountain wind skims overhead and echos in the forest afar. The windy and devious paths are under your feet, with birds singing around and insects chirping.Looking into the distance, the green hills and the mighty waterfalls form the pleasant scenery. 【Guanyin Cave】
Guanyin Cave is consisted of five layers of natural caves, which make the Guanyin Cave natural and with exuberant incense. There is an ancient magic tree at the mouth of the cave, standing cross the air, which looks just like growing from inside the hole. However, the roots can’t be found in the cave. The tree has thick trunks with a piece of brand written “one thousand ancient tree of the land” and the locals consider it as "Asoka Tree". There is the Guanyin statue consecrated in the hole. At the top, there is a very magic spring, with water running all year round. As a result, people call it “castalia”. Devotees to the Buddha come here to worship and pray for peace by taking the magic spring water and touching the ancient tree!
 
【The Ancient Plank Road of the Three Kingdoms】
The plank road, also known as cabinet road, is a channel made by chiseling on steep cliff, building bridges and joining pavilions together. It is also the main traffic artery of military offensive and defensive, and is a miracle in the traffic history of our country.
The ancient plank road of the Three Kingdoms is also known as "Taibai bird path". Li Bai once wrote "Mount Taibai sitting to the west, a path trying the birds’ flight to the mountaintop of Emei" in “Hard Roads in Shu”, and it describes the difficulty of going through the ancient plank road across Qinling Mountains in The Three Kingdoms period.
In The Three Kingdoms period, Fa Zheng, the schemer of Shu suggested Liu Bei to construct this road to deceive Sima Yi. As the supplementary of Bao ramps (ramps between Bao river and Mei Xian), it is also known as "Taibai bird path”. Years passed with vicissitudes of life and historical changes, the famous ancient plank of the Three Kingdoms is 1100 meters long at present. In 2000, the plank road was introduced in the CCTV-7 sets of "military" special report, whose topic is "the Ancient Battlefield, Today's Tourism Destination"
 
【Worship Sendai】
Worship Sendai is 3300 meters above sea level. 【Tian Yuan Di Fang】
Tian Yuan Di Fang is 3511 meters above sea level, and is the boundary of the north and the south side. If we pour a glass of water here, half flows to the Yangtze River, and the other half flows into the Yellow River. As a result, there is a saying: "Stands between the north and the south, the rivers flow from bypass".
Here, we can't see the marginal of sky, while it is like a big lid; we can’t see the end of the land, it is like a square. The sky is so near to us, and it is so easy to climb up. Clouds flow around us, and can brush our face. Standing here, we can get the whole view. Paths crisscrossed, leaving us the feeling of a boxy. We can only say: "The sky is so big and covers the fields."
There are cold climate, thin air, and strong solar radiation. Here, plant growth period is short, and arbor tree species have become extinct, so there are only in high hells and meadow, while an animal living in this area is a large number of pikas. Its shape looks like a mouse, but jumps like a rabbit, therefore it is called Tibetan pika. Tibetan pika with dark gray thick and fluff live in caves of irrigation grass, having tenacious vitality.
  
【Yang Wenzhou Memorial】
    A mountain is famous for one person,and a person can be great for a mountain.
The Taibai Mountain today is linked together with a person’s name forever .
And he is Yang Wenzhou.
Yang Wenzhou was the deputy Party secretary and director of the management office of the Taibai Mountain National Forest Park during his lifetime. In order to find a way of sustainable development of forestry, he put forward an idea of revitalizing forestry with forest tourism in the 80's. After 10 years’ construction, a seriously difficult county-run state-owned forest farm was developed into an nationally renowned national forest park. But he finally fell sick from overwork and died at the age of 58 years old in 2000. National Tourism Administration awarded him the title of“National Tourism System Advanced Workers”, CPC Shaanxi provincial Party committee posthumously awarded him the “Outstanding Communist”. In order to miss him, cadres and workers of Taibai Mountain and the masses around here built a memorial for him, as well as erecting a Moral stele.
 
【Guiguzi Cave】
Guiguzi, named Wang Xu, was adressed respectfully as Ancestor Wang Chan in civil. He was the originator of Taoism and Political Strategists in the Spring and Autumn period and Warring States period, and was a very mysterious characters in the history of China.He was praised as the eternal legend. Besides,he had some disciples who are famous in history,such as Sun Bin, Pang Juan, Su Qin, and Zhang Yi etc. He went into mountain to learn skills when he was a child and was been a monasticism when he went out. He passed on skills and knowledges in Mount Taibai area. The “Pipe Trench”in Tang valley is the cave paradise of Ancestor Wang Chan and the Guiguzi Cave is his stealthy study area in Mount Taibai.
 
【Cave Paradise】
The Cave Paradise scenic is at an altitude of 1000 meters of Mount Taibai. The “Tao Te Ching” of Lao Zi had shown that there are 36 fairylands and 72 Grotto-heavens, while the Mount Taibai is the 11th fairyland,which is also called Fairyland Xuande.
 
【Bastion of Iron】

The scenic area of Splash-ink Mountain is at an altitude of 1200 meters, which is 18 kilometers upward from the mountain gate. The negative oxygen that is contained in the air is 12000 per cm3, thus the air here is fresh and temperature is appropriate. And it is this place where Li Bai the Poetry Immortal drink and write poetry, drunk and splash ink. According to a legend, Li Bai felt a strong urge to write poetry but found it hard to write a poem that can describe the momentum and style of Mount Taibai when he saw this beautiful scenery and majestic mountain. He throwed his pen and ink into the mountains in a rage will. Descendants composed a poem to describe this thing “Li Bai is anger that pen can not write his heart, poetry is hard to recite when needing. Throw pen and inkstone up into the cloud, leaving the eternal ink marks”
 
【Shangri-la or Arcadia】
In 1991, after the former chairman of the CPPCC, Comrade Li Ruihuan inspect the Mount Taibai, he praised that “ the natural landscape whose momentum is such great,scenery such beautiful, scientific research value such high and which is so close to big city is very rare in the north of the Yangtze river in China”. When Li Ruihuan came here and walked through the river cave, it suddenly became extensive. He involuntarily praised “what a good Shangri-la or Arcadia” when he heard sounds of chick and dog among the farmhouse and thatched shack. Since then, the attractions is named by “Shangri-la or Arcadia”.You will see an ancient temple-Temple Sleeping Buddha across the stone bridge. In 1932, Mr. Yu Youren and the chairman of Shaanxi province Shao Lizi visited Mount Taibai together.At that moment, Mr. Yu wrote a doggerel near the sleeping Buddha: Good sleeping Buddha, good sleeping Buddha,everything is over when slapping. I also want to sleep, but who will protect the country. This doggerel reflected Concern for the fate of Old Yu’s thought although it is humorous. The spirit that it expressed is also comparable with the ideological realm of “be the first to worry about the world and the last to enjoy” of Fan Zhongyan.
Seeting of stream is naturally interesting, and layout of waterfalls is dedicated randomly here. There are small bridges, old trees and caves, just like pictures everywhere; and spring sound,insect sound, and birds tweet, you can hear everywhere. The negative oxygen the contained in the air is up to 15000 per cm, thus the air here is fresh and very comfortable.
Here is also a tree of national second-class protection, Cercidiphyllum japonicum.
 
【Open days Pass】
When walking out of the nine-nine gorge scenic, the world suddendly becomes extensive, and when you come to this kind of sight, you definitely reach the open days pass. Here is 1800 meters above sea level, a kind of cold temperate climate. Its name is from a poem of Li Baithe which says“Heading west to Mount Taibai, it’s hard to climb during the evening sun. Taibai is talking to me that I’m Open days Pass”. Here are wide mountains, many kinds of plants and lush primeval forest.
Open days Pass is the boundary of different weather in the middle mountain and high mountain of Mount Taibai. Different weather can often be seen in two sides of it, the weather of low side is often rainy while the other side clear.
The content of negative oxygen ions herer is up to 25000 per cm3 according to the measurement of the Environmental Health Laboratory of Xi'an Medical University, is hundreds of times higher than the city, is a natural “forest bathing”. Besides, the rosin contained in pine can be oxidized to emit ozone which can give people a fresh feeling. There is also an aromatic terpene, Alkene gaseous substances that is secreted by many Eucalyptus, fir, fir trees and higher plants, which can excite the nerve center. 【Red birch Floors】
    Red birch Floors scenic is located at 2260 meters above sea level, and is named because it’s in red birch forest. In fact, in the eyes of plant expert, birch forests zone is more unstable and belongs to the transitional zone, and it’s difficult for large number of red birch to gather and become forest zone. But in Taibai Nation Forest Park, walking upward from an altitude of 2300 meters, first of all to see is red birch forest zone which makes all mountains red and Storied Disseminated. Red birch is tall, bark is orange, smooth, translucent and as thin as paper, that’s why it also is called paper birch.
The upside of red birch forest zone is cowhide birch whose bark is orange gray, it has strong ability to adapt to the environment and can grow on bare flow stone hills and Rocky Mountain. Due to thses factors, it is the pioneer to develop the natural environment and praised as pioneer tree species of ground on the mountain bare rock.
Associated with the birch forest is acres of Rhododendron forest in Mount Taibai. Alpine Rhododendron which is also known as “azalea”, spread upward from an altitude of 2200 meters in Taibai Nation Forest Park. There are four varieties of azaleas: Rhododendron concinnum, Rhododendron clementinae, Rhododendron fastigiatum, and Rhododendron purdomii. These four kinds of azalea compete to bloom from the end of April to July each year, and florescence of every kind of azalea is about a month.
 
【the World Cableway】
The total length of the World Cableway of Mount Taibai started from Red birch Floors is 3000 meters, the altitude difference between the higher and lower cableway station is 1260 meters. Unilateral running time is 9 minutes. The number of passenger carriages is 46, and the capacity of each is 8. The seats on it are set face to face with fully enclosed. The carriages is equipped with panoramic transparent glass, aluminum alloy carriage, double door and the upper folio transom which can be opened, and it has broad horizons and comfortable ride. The entire cableway is provided with two passenger stations at different altitude, the lower station is located in Red birch Floors and the higher station round Heaven and square Earth which is 3511 meters above sea level.
 
【Seven Women Peak】
If the Mount Taibai is majestic, the Seven Women Peak is beautiful, and also the most spectacular.
Seeing along the Red Birch Floors, this group of comb-shaped mountain out of window is the most beautiful peak in Mount Taibai-Seven Women Peak. Just as its name, the peak is in different poses and with different expressions, seven peaks are lined up as if they are seven fairies coming down to the human world and standing side by side.
The entrance of Seven women peak is Red Birch Floors and exit Xiaban temple. It is about 10 kilometers long, and the altitude is from 2200 meters to 3000 meters. It is famous for its danger which gives it another name small Mount Hua. There are attractions such as Shek Kip ladder, herringbone ridge, turtles explore sea and other attractions along the way of Seven Women Peak.
 
【Stonehenge】
Stonehenge which is also Stone Rivers,is a periglacial landforms of Quaternary glacial remains in Mount Taibai. The mountain uplifted during The Glacier movement and then melt by ice that caused mountain collapse. After these natural action, it formed into such noble, majestic, breathtaking and magical landscape. Every piece of glaciers rock here recorded the passage of time, evolution of all things.
The higher mountain that at an altitude of more than 3300 meters distributes the most complete Quaternary glacial relics in China. According to legend, the ancient placed stone with a formuation to fight in battle, that’s why it is called “stonehenge”. The periglacial landforms such as Stonehenge, stone sea, stone river, stone roses, stone ring and freezing and thawing rock pillars roaring like sea, the rugged rocks formations like the birds and beasts, people and fairy,all make people dizzying and imaginative.
 
【Xiaban Temple】
Xiaban Temple is the end of passenger travel line and distribution center of FIT on the mountains, about 2800 meters above the sea level. It belongs to the sub tropical climate, the bottom of  vegetation here is cold mountain and top larch, belonging to the Ban temple clouds sea scenic.
In order to facilitate local people to pray because of the flourished Buddhism in Sui and Tang dynasties, people made use of local materials and made planks with red birch, and then built two temples here. The higher one is called Shangban temple and the lower one called Xiaban temple. Walking upward along the stairs, you can see the lower passenger station of Foyun pavilion cableway in Mount Taibai. The Foyun pavilion cableway in Mount Taibai is between Shangban temple and Xiaban temple, and its altitude span from 2800 meters to 3200 meters, and altitude difference is 400 meters. The total length is 1100 meters. You can overlook clouds sea of Ban temple from the cableway, and the twists and turns roads of the Mount Taibai are all in your eyes. The cableway of Mount Taibai is not only a traffic means, but also a kind of entertainment facilities.
On the west side of the lower cable station, there is a large area of the ground, which is called Meet Gods Floors. As its name suggests, it is the place where the gods gathering. On its north side, is Erxian mountain,the exit of Seven women peak. According to legend, it’s this place where Lord Lao Zi and Great White Planet played chess. The terrain here is open, old trees towering, environment elegant, and scenery pleasant. Standing on Meet Gods Floors and looking around, the endless mountains is layered on the east, the world famous Taibai snow is on the south, the beauty of Red River Valley is on the west, and Weihe Plain is all in your eyes when you look at north.
 
【Shangban temple】
Shangban temple which is located in higher station of the cableway is 3200 meters above sea level, and a large area of Larix chinensis forests are grown here
Larix chinensis forests is mainly distributed in the higher mountain whose altitude is about 2900 to 3400 meters, and it is endemic species in China. It is the only larch which survived in Qinling mountain and the third grade state protection endangered species. Larix chinensis is a strong positive species, which has a strong vitality and can endure low temperature of -50 ℃. So only larix chinensis can distribute in the upper area of the Quaternary glacial activity in the Qinling Mountains. The entire crown is biased to one side and forming a partial crown of the “flag shaped tree” due to the influence of wind direction all year round. You will also see many other peculiar shape pictogram tree,when you walk upward, such as  Phoenix pine, snake pine, and Avalokitesvara pine etc..
The whole Larix Chinensis forests is in golden in the autumu, and you will fell as if you are in a quiet golden ocean when you walk around here.
 
【Wen Gong Temple】
Wen Gong is Han Yu one of the tang dynasty writers. As myths and legends, Jade Emperor appointed Han Yu as the mountain deity to take over Taibai Mountain, becoming the Earth God of Guanzhong Area. Like Folklore, "The name of Land is Han, head wearing jade, feet and body dressed in blue". Han Yu was against the Buddhism in the history, it is unknown that consecrating Han Wengong in Taibai Mountain of Taoist holy land was or wasn't related to this matter, but Han Yu had a deep fate with Taibai Mountain and even Qinling Mountain. He had written many poems about Taibai Mountain, one verse "Taibai Mountain rise abruptly from the southwest, no mountain can be as a copy of it around it" had written by when he was climbing Taibai Mountain. People had built temple to commemorate him in Taibai Mountain.
The little Wen Gong Temple is used to commemorate Han Chang, the youngest son of Han Yu.
 
【Block-sea】
 Block-sea is typical of the quaternary glacial traces. It has formed many glacial drift lakes, cirque lakes, the most important are D Ye Hai, E Ye Hai, S Ye Hai and the Jade Emperor pool as a result of the action of glacier. The surface of these lakes is rippling, fascinating. And these lakes locate in the same valley trough, distribute at different heights, connect into a string of pearl, be regarded as "the pearl of the high mountain".
D Ye Hai is the most fascinating place on the Taibai Mountain top. It is 3590 meters above sea level. It cannot find the source of water around D Ye Hai, but the lake water is running all the year round, and the water is clear, blue and spotless. White-head bird is a kind of birds living around the D Ye Hai, and bring weeds out of water in its beak and then fly away. Local people say the bird is "net pool bird " or " net pool lad". Every summer, a lot of men and women of buddhist come to pay their respects in an endless.
 
【Ba Xian Tai】　
Ba Xian Tai is 3771.2 meters above sea level, is the high of the Mount Taibai. It is said that the place where Jiang Ziya selected general, gods and immortal.
Ba Xian Tai like one irregular triangular cone, exclusive lofty and steep, towering into the cloud, a steep of three sides, a wide flat of table top, tilt toward the southwest, wide on the west and  narrow on the east. You can watch sunrise in the morning, sunset in the evening, and feel relaxed and happy with flowing light and color, splendour, change of scenery. Ba Xian Tai was named by Taoist temple, at table top there enshrine a chair that reputedly was Jiang Ziya sitting and selecting gods and immortal, and pepole cannot easily sit. Climbing to the top of the mountain and  overlooking, the east half China does not have a higher mountain can impede your sight line. Overlooking the round, the vast Qinchuan enter your eyes. One may well say "would be extremely Ling, list of small hills " and " looking up near red sun, looking back at the white clouds".
