In more than 20 years of Taibai Mountain’s tourism development, zhang Boxing, the former provincial party committee secretary of Shaanxi, pays special attention to it. In July of this year, the old secretary visited “Round Heaven and Square Earth” by taking the “Tianxia Ropeway” (the ropeway with the largest vertical throw in the country). Inspired by the stunning visual effect of the“Tianxia Ropeway”, the old secretary wrote a poem - Ode to Taibai Mountain, which shows the secretary’s understanding and love for the mountain.
Taibai Mountain, the main peak of Qinling Mountains, is 3771.2 meters above sea level. It is the highest mountain in our mainland except for Tibet Plateau. Serving as the geographical and climatic lines of South and North China as well as the watershed between the Yangtze river and Yellow River basin, it can be divided into five climate vertical distribution zones; clear and complete Quaternary glacial relics can be found here; unique ecological resources can also be found, including 2594 types of plants and 2554 kinds of animals; the area is rich in hot spring resources, which contain various rare elements; it also fosters the herbal medicine culture, forming a traditional herbal school with an independent medical theory. With all its beauty and charms, the Taibai Mountain has attracted tourists around the world.
