上述可知，研究太白山冰川遗址，就是研究太白山所具有的地质、历史、自然、人文文化，是非常有意义的。其内涵广泛，是我国多种科学进行科学研究的基地。经我们多年考察，可以确定太白山以下冰川景观：
1.拔仙台角峰。角峰是被几个冰斗包围的山岭，经冰川刨蚀形成的崖壁陡立的金字塔形峰。拔仙台角峰是屹立于群峰之中较典型的角峰，海拔3767.2米。以拔仙台为中心，其北、南和西南分别有大爷海、二爷海冰斗、佛爷海冰斗。拔仙台角峰顶平坦，为一东窄西宽、东高西低的三角形平台，面积约8万平方米。
2.大爷海槽谷。槽谷是在冰川运动过程中刨蚀而成的一种U形谷，谷底较宽，谷坡陡直、横面呈U形。槽谷的山端常与冰斗相接。大爷海槽谷位于拔仙台角峰北侧大爷海冰斗之下，其长约3000米，宽约200米，末端海拔3000米左右，谷形顺直，槽谷中保留有三级冰阶。
3.大爷海冰斗湖：冰斗是指冰川上源当时的雪线附近由冰川刨掘而成的三壁陡峻、一方开口、中间凹下的圆形洼地。当冰川消失后，冰斗蓄水而成的湖泊，称冰斗湖。大爷海冰斗湖位于拔仙台角峰的西北侧，其东、南、西三面为崖壁环绕，北为开口。现今大爷海形似椭圆，面积5000平方米，湖面海拔3590米，开口处冰坎高出湖面约15米。湖水从坎西端缺口流出，顺着冰斗之下的槽谷流下。湖水清澈碧绿，冰冷刺骨，至今尚无人探其确切深浅。湖面景色多变，当风平浪静时，崖影斜映，坠日沉月，迤俪动人；盛夏时节烈日当空，但一到大爷海湖畔顿觉凉气扑面，沁人心脾。登太白山上大爷海游览观胜、科普考察，实在是一种美的体验和自然科学营养的吸取。太白山最引人入胜的灿烂明珠应该属大爷海冰斗湖。
4.三爷海冰蚀湖。在槽谷中的冰阶面上，往往由于冰川的刨蚀作用形成低洼的圆形盆地。当冰川消退后，在这些盆地中常常积水称湖，这种成因的湖泊称为冰蚀湖。
5.三官殿冰窖。三官殿冰窖位于拔仙台以西跑马梁北侧，呈东终东西向展开，冰窖后壁陡直，开口处没有岩坎，其分布高度大体与大爷海斗湖相一致。
6.三清池冰碛湖。位于二爷海槽谷末端终碛堤的上方，是终碛堵水而形成的冰碛湖，当地称"三清池"，由此往下冰川遗迹已消失。湖面海拔3090米。
７.跑马梁。由拔仙台角峰往西至鳌山，有一道近20公里的长岭。岭上起伏不大,有的地段为宽100-200米的平台，其海拔3200-3500米，这是距今约2亿年前形成的夷平面的残留部分，当地称"四十里跑马梁"。一眼望去，平坦开阔，一马平川。近看，嶙峋的巨石间有许多马蹄窝状的石环，呈多边形地貌。据此有人就相传，说当年周文王和殷纣王为了争夺政权，在这里摆开战场，一连打了几十年的仗，石头间的"马蹄窝"就是他们打仗时留下的。又有人相传，说当年汉光武帝刘秀曾经在这里操马练兵，马蹄窝是刘秀跑马时留下的。后人就把这山叫着"跑马梁"。
8、石河远景。由融冰崩解产生的大块石，在重力作用下沿沟或沟槽向下运动并堆积下来，远看好象高悬在山坡上的一道白色瀑布，状似由石块构成的河流，故名为"石河"。
9、石海远景。拔仙台及跑马梁平台上，由融冰崩解的大小不等的棱角状块石，无一定方向杂乱的散布着，连成一片，广阔浩瀚，有如由石块构成的海洋，故名为"石海"。由于组成石块形状各异，形成丰富多彩，故有人相传是诸葛亮打仗时摆下的"石人阵"。
10、大石环。由融冻崩解堆积的松散物质，经反复冻、融，并经分选作用，形成粗大块石围绕细粒碎石，或由细小碎石构成比较规则的几何图形。当外缘粗大块石排列成环形时，就称"石环"。当大小不等块石、碎石排列成多边形时，便称为"石多边形"。当中心有大石块、周围列布碎石、细土时，就称"石玫瑰"。
还有傲然挺立的"石塔"，屹立云霄的"石柱"、"卧羊石"，茫茫林海中的"熊岩"巨大冰川漂石，奔腾湍急的石头河等奇石景观。
总之，太白山以其得天独厚的地理位置，丰富多彩的地质资源、生物资源、天象资源成为我国地理、地质、气象、生物等进行多种科学研究的基地。太白山是中华民族的宝库，无论从物质方面和文化方面都具有博大精深内涵，是其它地方不可代替的基因宝库。这些难得的自然资源又是绝好的旅游资源，为我们提供了旅游的乐趣，使人们在旅游中饱览大自然的美，从美中领悟太白山之情愫，品味太白山文化。我们相信，会有更多的人向往太白山，走进太白山。
